David Slade Does Art Too….

You may know David Slade from from his gripping film, Hard Candy or you may have just recently heard of him because of his new film 30 Days of Night, which I just viewed. You can tell by watching the film that David Slade has an artists touch. The black scenes covered with red blood really pop out at you. Anyway, I just trying to give the director some love for his most recent t-shirts he designed. Above are just a couple of prints that you can get. Enjoy!

Real Best of Detroit 2008 – Tristan Eaton

If you haven’t heard of this Detroit native then you should definitely read this! Tristan eaton is one of the brains behind Kidrobot’s logos and mascot toys; the Munny and the Dunny doll. Recently Tristan undoubtably won the the Real Best of Detroit 2008 for Best Cover Art. His creations are incredible. He resides in wonderful NYC and is traveling all over the world wowing everyone with his talents. Real Detroit got a chance to meet up with Tristan and here is what he had to say, “When I’m not working, I’m sleeping or getting ready for work,” he said. But it’s evident in his art that life can’t be all work and no play, as Eaton’s artistic drive has taken him around the globe. “A lot of times I use work or my art to travel. We did 19 exhibitions in 2007, which was crazy; we went to Cannes, Tokyo, London, Los Angeles, just to name a few.” SOURCE: realdetroitweekly.com

The Darjeeling Limited T-Shirt by French Label APC

To honor Wes Anderson and his nominated film, The Darjeeling Limited, APC teamed up on a t-shirt design and this is what they came up with. The t-shirt comes in two different colors and has the name of the film printed on the chest in a stencil design. The t-shirt will be available 2/29 at select APC locations in Japan.
